Rachel Baron Zukerman was a creative force who brought imagination, energy, and joy to her work and her life. Her musicals were performed, her paintings were exhibited in five major museums, and her writings were widely admired. Above all, she was a cherished mother and Nana whose love of life lives on in her children and grandchildren.
Established by her family in her memory, the Rachel Baron Zukerman Creative Arts Expression Fund at Gilda’s Club Chicago honors her lifelong love of art and her courage through five decades as a cancer survivor.
Gifts to the fund will support creative arts programming at Gilda’s Club Chicago, giving people impacted by cancer opportunities to express themselves, explore their creativity, and find comfort and connection. These free programs offer space for feelings that can be difficult to put into words and moments of joy amid the challenges of cancer.
