Hello! We're Asher and G, a brother-sister running duo from Chicago. As we lace up our running shoes for our very first marathon, our hearts are full of excitement and purpose! Running for Gilda's Club is more than just a race for us; it's a way to pay it forward to an organization that's been an important source of hope and connection in our lives. Our connection with Gilda's Club goes way back to our high school days when we first crossed paths with this incredible community, finding solace and support after losing a parent. G became involved in Gilda's Club's annual Chicago writing competition, judging three years in a row! Witnessing the powerful words and resilience of those touched by cancer deeply moved us and showed us the profound impact the Clubhouse has on families navigating the challenging journey of loss and healing. Years later, we've seen firsthand the enduring legacy of Gilda's Club in supporting not just our journey through grief but countless others' as well. Running through the streets of our favorite city of Chicago, we're not just running a marathon; we're running to give back to a place that gave us so much.
