A Message From Betsy Katschke
I am honored to be running the Chicago Marathon in support of Gilda’s Club Chicago, a nonprofit organization which provides community, events, and a space for individuals impacted by all types of cancers; this includes patients as well as family, friends, and loved ones of those with cancer.
This organization was created in the memory of comedian, actor, and original SNL Cast Member, Gilda Radner, who has always been a comedy inspiration to me.
Being able to combine my love of comedy (catch me performing improv and sketch comedy at ComedySportz & The Interchange Theater Co-Op in Milwaukee most weekends!) with running, along with supporting an organization whose mission is very near & dear to my family in recent years makes this an incredibly special debut marathon experience to run with Team Gilda ❤️
7/16/25 Update: With just under 3 months until race day, I am so full of gratitude to hit my fundraising minimum of $2,100. My dream goal is $2,620 - $100 per mile in the marathon (26.2)
9/8/25 Update: I am so overjoyed that we have hit my fundraising goal of $2,620!!! Thank you so much to everyone for your support!
I am stretching this goal to continue to gather support and donations, because every dollar matters and will be going to an incredibly worthy cause.
Please consider making a (tax-deductible!) donation toward this amazing organization!
