I'm honored to announce that I’ll be running the 2025 Chicago Marathon in support of Gilda's Club Chicago, an organization close to my heart. Gilda's Club provides free support to individuals and families impacted by cancer, offering a sense of community and hope when it’s needed most. This cause is deeply personal to me. On February 10, 2017, I lost my first wife, Carol Aguilar, to cancer. Carol was my partner, my inspiration, and my best friend. During the most difficult time of our lives, we were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our community. Friends, family, and even strangers came together to lift us up, and their support carried us through that tragedy. Running this marathon is my way of honoring Carol’s memory and paying forward the compassion that sustained us. Through this campaign, I hope to give back to others facing similar battles by supporting the life-changing work of Gilda's Club Chicago. It will help Gilda’s Club continue to provide free programming—from support groups to workshops and social activities—for people living with cancer and their loved ones.
