A Message From Natalie Donkle
Hi! My name is Natalie Donkle, and I’m thrilled to be running my very first marathon as a member of Team Gilda for the 2025 Chicago Marathon! My running journey began as a kid, racing in just about every holiday 5K imaginable, and continued through my freshman year of high school, where I ran cross country and had the incredible opportunity to help our team qualify for the State Championships. From there, I shifted gears and dove—literally—into the world of competitive Diving, which I pursued from my sophomore year of high school through my senior year at The University of Alabama. Diving taught me patience, resilience, and mental toughness—three qualities that have become the foundation of my marathon training. When I learned about the opportunity to join Team Gilda, I jumped at the chance. This race means so much more than crossing the finish line. I’m running in honor of those impacted by cancer and to support Gilda’s Club Chicago, which offers free emotional and social support to individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Every step I take helps ensure no one has to face cancer alone. I hope you’ll consider supporting my journey by making a donation today.
