A Message From Rachel Clark
When I was nine years old my mother passed away from a rare tissue sarcoma cancer. During that time, my family found a place of support and understanding at Gilda’s Club Seattle, where dad and I attended support groups for families touched by cancer. After she passed, my dad and I continued going, and as I got older, I gave back to the community that had given us so much. I volunteered in support groups, mentored younger kids, spoke at fundraising events, and spent summers as a counselor at Camp Sparkle. Gilda’s Club was a defining part of my life from childhood into becoming a young adult.
This community has shaped my life in ways I can’t put into words, and twenty years later I am beyond honored to be running the Chicago Marathon as a Team Gilda runner.
Please help me give back to an organization that has done so much for families like mine. Your donation supports free cancer support programs that make a real difference in people’s lives. Every mile I run is for the families who need this community just as much as I did.
Thank you for your support! ❤️🏃♀️🔴🚪
