A Message From Avery Robbins
In 2026, I will be running the Chicago Marathon—my very first marathon—for a cause that means so much to me.
In 2023, I lost my stepfather, Matt, to synovial sarcoma. Losing him deeply impacted my family and showed me firsthand how overwhelming a cancer diagnosis can be—not only for the patient, but for family and friends as well. I am running this marathon in Matt’s honor and in support of all families facing cancer.
I am proud to raise funds for Gilda’s Club Chicago, an organization that provides free emotional and social support to individuals, families, and friends impacted by cancer. Gilda’s Club Chicago creates a community where no one has to face cancer alone.
Every mile I run is dedicated to Matt and all families battling such a horrible disease. Thank you for supporting me and helping make a difference for those who need it most. I am overjoyed to be able to run for such a great charity. Thank you all for your support in helping these amazing families.
Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated. Can’t thank you enough for the kindness and support.
