Thanks for joining me on this Journey. It’s an honor to raise money for such an incredible mission and my hope is to exceed my donation goals so Gilda’s Club continue to do the good work of supporting families going through some of the toughest health challenges. In 2022, I lost my father to a 3 year battle with Cancer. The first diagnosis and treatment began in 2019 and carried over through the pandemic. As it does with every family, my father’s diagnosis and care were at the epicenter of family planning. My mother and sisters who worked tirelessly to take my father to countless appointments, speak with doctors and still take care of everything else life demands of you. We were also lucky enough to have the support of extended family and close friends. I often imagine how much harder it would have been if my family didn’t have that support. Chicago is a place I call home and I cannot think of a better way to honor my father and my family than to help contribute to an organization that creates opportunities for support.
