A Message From Bryan Pitts
I’m running this marathon to support Gilda’s Club Chicago, an organization that provides community, strength, and hope to individuals and families facing cancer. This cause is deeply personal to me. My wife went through breast cancer, and walking beside her through that journey changed the way I understand courage. The support we received mattered, and I want to help make sure others have that same lifeline.
I’m also doing this for my children. I want them to see—through action, not just words—that you can do hard things. That when life hands you something painful or overwhelming, you don’t back away. You move forward with purpose, compassion, and grit.
This marathon is my way of honoring the people fighting cancer today, remembering those we’ve lost, and showing my kids that strength is something you build one step at a time.
If you feel moved to support Gilda’s Club or simply cheer from the sidelines, thank you. Every bit of encouragement helps carry this mission forward.
