In 2023, I lost my aunt, Cheryl Tartaglia, to endometrial cancer. She was so much more than my aunt - she was my neighbor, my role model, my biggest supporter, and truly a second mother to me. Her kindness, strength, and love shaped who I am, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. This year, I am running the Chicago Marathon in her memory and in honor of the incredible person she was. Through this journey, I hope to support cancer patients and their families who are facing the same difficult battle that Cheryl faced with such courage. Every mile I run is for her, and for all those impacted by cancer.
