A Message From Simon Hilcove
Hey friends and family!
Yep, I have cancer. Diagnosed with colon cancer Oct 2024, did heavy chemo for 6 months, then had a crazy surgery called CRS-HIPEC in April 2025. Then some radiation in my lungs in May 2025. Since October 2025 I’ve been on my second line of treatment for the mets in lungs.
All that said, one constant in my journey has been the constant support from Gilda’s club. Gilda’s (named after the SNL cast member Gilda Radner) has been so awesome as a support group both for me and for the whole family.
Through the treatments I’ve been trying to prioritize living healthy and staying active. Now I have the opportunity to do something really a little crazy, and run a marathon while undergoing cancer treatment (mostly for stuff in my lungs!). And all this to support the group that’s done so much for me.
It would mean a lot to me if you could donate and help me reach my fundraising goal, and help me get to the starting line of this marathon.
Love you all!
Simon
