26th Anniversary Awards Dinner

Gilda’s Club Chicago uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. We create a safe and welcoming space for members by offering essential services such as support groups, educational workshops, programs promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering social connections. Despite being frequently overlooked in the cancer care journey, these services offer critical support to individuals navigating cancer treatment and their families.

On June 18, Gilda’s Club will host our 26th Annual Awards Dinner at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Ann Lurie, one of the founders of Gilda’s Club Chicago 26 years ago, is this year’s Honorary Event Chair.  Dr. Leonidas Platanias and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University will be honored. Under the skilled leadership of Dr. Platanias, the Center has solidified its place as an undisputed national leader in innovative research, leading-edge treatments, and compassionate care. The Center’s partnership with Gilda’s Club has thrived under Dr. Platanias’s helm. He has been a steadfast champion of our satellite at the Center which provides support and healing activities on a weekly basis to patients receiving treatment. We look forward to paying a well-earned tribute to both Dr. Platanias and this extraordinary cancer center.
