Gilda Radner has the rare stature of being a Jewish female comedienne who lost a battle to cancer. This intersection of traits has lots of meaning to our family: we've unfortunately lost multiple battles to cancer - including my mother 20+ years ago - but also use laughter and our Jewishness as points of pride - my father was a stand up comic on the side and briefly hosted a radio show called "The Jewish Comedy Hour." Gilda's Club is a place where anyone whose life has been impacted by any type of cancer, as well as their families and friends, can feel they are part of a welcoming community of support. Please join me in supporting Gilda's Club as I run my first marathon this coming October.
