The Fundraising Page of Sean Delaney

Hello. If you’re reading this know that I appreciate your time…and please keep reading because I’m using this as a distraction while I steal your wallet out of your back pocket. I jest, but I *would* like to take some money that you possess and give it to Gilda’s Club Chicago. You see- I’m a nutcase, and would like to run 26.2 miles non-stop. While this is a peculiar disorder, there’s actually many others like me. We decided that we’ll run this long way together and give this event a name: the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. All us winguts run for various different reasons; some to impress a potential lover, others because their fathers never hugged them enough. My reason is to benefit Gilda’s Club Chicago. The namesake, Gilda Radner, was one of the original cast members of “Saturday Night Live” and alum of The Second City. Laughter and love were central themes of Gilda’s career and life, which was sadly cut short by ovarian cancer. Gilda's Club is a place where anyone whose life has been impacted by any type of cancer, as well as their families and friends, can feel they are part of a welcoming community of support. As a proud Second City Training Center graduate who loves to spread laughter and love, I thought this was a great cause to run for. I know that times are hard (depending on when you’re reading this) in Joe Biden’s and/or Donald Trump’s economy…but any amount donated to this great organization would be appreciated by me, and the beneficiaries from the great work done through Gilda’s Club Chicago.
