Dear Friends in Running, I am extremely honored and happy to join the wonderful family of the Team Gildia Foundation. I have the great pleasure of raising funds for such a noble cause, which is to help people affected by a terrible disease, such as cancer. Certainly, each of us has had or has someone in our environment who is struggling with this disease, and we know perfectly well how difficult these times are - both for the patient and for their loved ones. This year, pancreatic cancer took my beloved husband's father. Only a few months passed from the moment of diagnosis to his death. Our entire family was affected by this tragedy, and I was close to my husband, observing how difficult it was for everyone. I am glad that I can support this noble initiative, even in a small way. As you can probably guess, my passion is running. I am lucky that I train and start together with my husband - my partner and greatest love - Karol. For several years now, this has been our common passion, which unites us at every step. In November 2024, we completed our first marathon from the Abbott – New York series. It was an unforgettable experience and a fantastic adventure. Our dream is to win the 6 Stars trophy, and our long-term plan is starting to come true – Karol was selected to run in the Chicago Marathon in 2025! :) Of course, as a team, we want to continue our journey together. That is why we decided to combine our passion for running with the desire to support cancer patients. We decided to cooperate with the Team Gilda Foundation to help those who need it most.
